Guinea: IULM videoconferences lessons for students in Conakry
As part of the "Italy, Culture, Africa" program of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, from March 2019, students from Guinea were given the opportunity of attending Italian language lessons, free of charge, at the Italian Embassy in Conakry.
Following the success of this first phase, a curriculum of lessons was set up on the principles of communication and information in conjunction with the IULM University of Milan and with the involvement of a group of teachers who accompanied the students in the understanding of communication and journalism.
The Italian lessons, which were streamed by the Milanese University at the Italian Embassy and which continued until mid-December, aimed at creating awareness of the Italian language and culture for the benefit of the students of the four universities based in Conakry : Université Général Lansana Conté, Université Gamal Abdel Nasser, Université Catholique d'Afrique de l'Ouest UCAO and Université Kofi Annan de Guinée.
Twenty lessons, for a total of forty hours, were held by the journalist Toni Capuozzo, by the IULM Internationalization Delegate, Francesco Galli, and by professors Alessandra Mazzei, Andrea Miconi and Stefania Romenti.
