OICE Report- Undersecretarry of State Di Stefano: a further increase in turnover in foreign markets
Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Manlio Di Stefano, participated at ICE (Italian Trade Agency) HQ with a presentation on the 2019 OICE Foreign Markets Report of Italian engineering, architecture and technical and economic consulting companies.
The Undersecretary recalled that 45 % of turnover refers to foreign market contracts, and underlined that these are important achievements which can be further enhanced thanks to a coordinated action involving the diplomatic and consular network, the ICE (Italian Trade Agency), the Chambers of Commerce, and financial stakeholders. "The reform of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation takes place within this very context, with the passage under a single coordination of competencies and resources supporting the internationalisation of the private sector," added Di Stefano.
"On one hand, the Government is committed in increasing domestic consumption, on the other it has the aim to consolidate exports in already mature markets (Europe, North America, Australia), and face the growing ones (especially in Asia), alongside the markets in South America, with an increasing prospect of development in the Mediterranean, the Middle East and Africa," concluded the Undersecretary.
