Zurich, Crans-Montana: talking about Italian fashion

Talking about Italian art and fashion in Crans-Montana: the Italian Cultural Institute of Zurich, in collaboration with the AMITALIA Association, is holding a festival of films dedicated to the fashion greats.

“House of Cardin” is the story of Pierre Cardin, who was born in Italy before becoming naturalised French, and was one of the most revolutionary fashion designers of the twentieth century: a designer, entrepreneur, and patron who put a mark on international fashion with his unmistakable style.

This will be followed on 15 August with “Forbidden Fashion - Roberto Capucci", the first documentary on Italian couture dedicated to the "sculptor of silk", and on 22 August with "Borsalino City", the story of the most famous hat in the world and its inventor, Giuseppe Borsalino. The festival ends on 29 August with "Ottavio Missoni 100", celebrating the centenary of the birth of one of the founding fathers of Italian fashion: a "master of colour" and a phenomenal athlete.
