On Wednesday 4 October 2017 at 10:30 am a conference will be held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) on the "Quality of the Italian health tourism system and attractiveness of the regions".
Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, said: "According to Bloomberg Italy is the healthiest country in the world and ranks top for quality of life. And what reasons could there be for this first place other than the Italian way of life, health care system, healthy eating habits, and the beauty of the history and landscape all around us? We are working as a team to offer an integrated presentation of the quality of the health system and cultural and tourist wealth of our regions, a systemic effort that sees the Ministry of Foreign Affairs joined by the Department of Health and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism (MIBACT), the regions, the Italian Government Tourist Board (ENIT) and a number of prestigious and qualified public and private health facilities. By focusing on this sector, Italy, according to the most recent studies, could record an increase in the turnover of its health industry of more than 5 billion euros a year."
Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Angelino Alfano will open the event. Speakers include: Giovanni Lolli, Vice President of the Conference of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, Mariadonata Bellentani, Director of the National Health Plan of the Ministry of Health and Francesco Palumbo, Director General for Tourism of MIBACT and others.
The event will be moderated by Vincenzo De Luca, Director General for the Promotion of the Italian Economic System at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
