Update to the press accreditation note - 9th Italy-Latin America and Caribbean Conference (Farnesina, 10 October 2019)

On Thursday 10 October the 9th Italy-Latin America and Caribbean Conference will be held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, on the theme "Together for sustainable growth".

 
The Conference will bring together Foreign Ministers from Latin American countries, representatives of Embassies, technicians, experts and representatives of the Italian institutions.
 
The Conference will be open to the press from 9.30am to 1.00pm (opening session) and from 5.30pm to 6.00pm (closing).
 
Opening speeches will  be delivered by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio and by the President of the IILA and Ambassador of Paraguay, Roberto Melgarejo.
 
Presentations will be made by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Paola De Micheli and the Minister of Justice, Alfonso Bonafede and also by the Latin American and Caribbean Ministers of Foreign Affairs.
 
The opening session will be chaired by the Director General for Globalization and Global Issues of the MAECI, Luca Sabbatucci.
 
The conclusions will be entrusted to the IILA Secretary General, Donato Di Santo, who will dwell on the results of the debate and present the final declaration, and to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Marina Sereni.

 

A family photo is scheduled for 11.00 hours.
 
Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in attending the event are kindly requested to register in one of the following ways:
 
- online at the link https://portaleaccreditazione.esteri.it, to which the required digital documentation is to be sent (letter from the from the media oganization the applicant works for, while the members of the foreign press need to attach also a Note Verbale released by the Embassy in Rome of the media organization's Country).
 
- VIA E-MAIL at accreditamentostampa@esteri.it, (tel. 06 / 3691.3432– 06 / 3691.8573), attaching the above-mentioned documentation.
 
Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crew members shall have access to the Foreign Afairs Ministry as follows:
  • from 8.30 am to 9.15 am, back entrance in Via Macchia della Farnesina;
  • from 5.00 pm to 5.20 pm, main entrance, right side (VIP Room).
