On Tuesday, August 25, 2020, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Luigi Di Maio will meet the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Wang Yi at Villa Madama.
At the end of the meeting, the two Ministers will hold a joint press point.
In view of the current legislation on social distancing, a limited number of representatives of the press will have access to Villa Madama. It will therefore be possible to accredit only one journalist per newspaper/agency and one operator per TV station. The first accreditations received will be accepted in order of time.
A limited number of TV operators will be given the possibility to shoot the joint press point, in compliance with the social distancing.
Journalists and TV operators interested in following the joint press point are requested to accredit themselves, by 4.00 p.m.
on Monday 24 August, according to the following procedures:
- VIA E-MAIL at firstname.lastname@example.org, (tel. 06/3691.3432 - 06/3691.8573), specifying personal data and qualification and attaching the letter of the newspaper to which they belong (for representatives of foreign press organs is also required Note Verbale of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the represented press organ).
Accreditation cards must be collected personally at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, rear entrance in Via Macchia della Farnesina, from 11.30 a.m. by 12.30
p.m., after checking body temperature. Accredited journalists must be fitted with a mask and other personal protective equipment recommended by current regulations.
Since it is not possible to reach Villa Madama by their own means, once accredited, journalists will be accompanied to Villa Madama by a shuttle service, in compliance with current legislation on social distancing, from Via Macchia della Farnesina (round trip), operational until the end of the event.
