From 22 to 24 November 2018 Rome’s Grand Hotel Parco dei Principi will host the 4th edition of the Forum Rome MED 2018 – Mediterranean Dialogues.
The opening session will take place at 2 p.m. on 22 November at the presence of the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, and will include contributions by the President of Iraq, Barham Salih, and by the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Enzo Moavero Milanesi.
The event is one of the major global forums of debate on the enlarged Mediterranean. The Forum will be attended by high-profile political figures, including Iraqi President, Barham Salih, the Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Jordan, Iran, Palestine, Russia, the Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs and the Secretary General of NATO.
The Forum will be structured around four themes: shared prosperity; shared security; migration; culture and civil society, which will be debated over three days that schedule plenary sessions and policy forums, panels and special dialogues alternatively, in order to offer participants the opportunity to exchange opinions in an honest dialogue on the strategic perspectives for an enlarged Mediterranean (see the concise provisional programme attached).
The Forum is entirely open to the press.
Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in covering the event are requested to apply for accreditation by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 21 November, in one of the following two ways:
• ONLINE, at the link https://portaleaccreditamento.esteri.it, attaching thereto the documentation requested in digital format (letter from the media organisation and, for representatives of foreign media, also a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation’s Country).

The entrance for the press is at the Congress Centre of the Grand Hotel Parco dei Principi, Via G. Frescobaldi, 5, and will be open in the following time slots:
- Thursday, 22 November, from 11:30 a.m. to the end of the day
- Friday, 23 November, from 8:00 a.m. to the end of the day
- Saturday, 24 November, from 8:00 a.m. to the end of the day
On Thursday, 22 November, the accredited media interested in covering the opening remarks of the Forum are kindly requested to show up at the Congress Centre at 12:30 and no later than 1:30 p.m.
For security reasons, journalists, photographers and TV crews will have to go to the Press Accreditation Desk every morning to pick up their press badge for that day’s conference and return it before leaving.
A press room will be set up with a free WIFI connection, a monitor on which to follow the proceedings and a media corner for interviews.
