The Italy-Georgia Business Forum will take place at the Farnesina on Wednesday, 8 March 2017 at 10:00 a.m. The Forum is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, (MAECI), the Italian Trade Agency, (ICE), and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia.
"The Business Forum - said the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano - is designed to illustrate to Italian companies the prospects of cooperation and investments in the manufacturing, infrastructure and tourism sectors."
Minister Alfano and Georgia's Prime Minister, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, will attend the opening session, at the end of which there will be the signing of two bilateral MOUs, between the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) and the Italian Chamber of Commerce (UnionCamere) and between SACE S.p.A. and JSC Partnership Fund of Georgia, respectively.
At the end of the MOU signing ceremony, Alfano and Kvirikashvili will leave the Conference Hall to hold a bilateral meeting, while the Business Forum will continue in the afternoon with B2B meetings between Italian and Georgian enterprises.
The Business Forum, which will be attended by more than 200 Italian enterprises and 60 Georgian businesses, is organized on the occasion of the visit to Italy of Georgia's Prime Minister, Giorgi Kvirikashvili. Mr Kvirikashvili will lead a high-profile institutional and entrepreneurial delegation, including the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, Kakha Kaladze, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mikheil Janelidze, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Giorgi Gakharia, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, Zurab Alavidze, and the Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Keti Bochorishvili.
The Business Forum is open to the media

Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews should enter the Ministry from the main entrance - left hand-side - from 9:30 a.m. onwards.
