On Thursday, 18 January, at 9:00 a.m., the Farnesina will host the presentation of the “Diplomacy Education” Project with the attendance of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano.
For the first time in Europe, 60 embassies and diplomatic missions in Italy will “adopt” whole classes of Italian secondary schools to participate in the project entitled “Diplomacy Education”, developed by the Global Action agency, sponsored by the Italian Foreign Ministry and supported by the UN Agencies in Italy, with a view to promoting knowledge of the Countries of the world and their institutional relations.
The event will be attended by Waheed Omer, the Ambassador of Afghanistan to Italy, Heather Eaton, Public Affairs Officer at the US Mission to the UN Agencies in Rome, Ussama Osman, Deputy Secretary to the Executive Board of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), María Rosa Jijón Calderón, Cultural Secretary of the Italo-Latin American Institute (IILA), Valentina Carlino, President of Global Action. The event will be moderated by Pierfrancesco Torrisi.

Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews may collect their accreditation badges in person from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, at the main entrance – left-hand side – from 8:30 to 9:00 a.m.
