The conference "Italy and the European Construction: from the Milan European Council (June 1985) to the Single European Act" will take place at Villa Madama in Rome on Tuesday 9 June 2015. The meeting has been organised by the Craxi Foundation, with the patronage of the European Parliament, the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in coincidence with the 30th anniversary of the Milan European Council.
Sessions will depart from a historical-political analysis of those events and their impact on our times, and conclude with a roundtable discussion introduced by Foundation president Stefania Craxi on the theme “What Europe for the future”. Participants will include Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni, President of the Senate Foreign Affairs and Emigration Commission Pier Ferdinando Casini, Franco Frattini and Romano Prodi.
