The closing ceremony of “ROMUN2015” will take place in the International Conference hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation at 12.30 on Monday 19 October 2015. “ROMUN2015” is a simulation exercise for young people promoted by the Italian Society for International Organisation (SIOI UN Association of Italy) in collaboration with the diplomatic missions of the United States in Italy.
After three days of negotiations, 500 young people from over 60 nations will approve the Youth Road Map. The Road Map represents the final resolution in the simulation and lists sustainable development priorities and goals as viewed through young people’s eyes.
The ceremony will be attended by the Secretary General of the Farnesina, Ambassador Michele Valensise. The young participants will present Ambassador Valensise with the final resolution so that it can be sent officially to the Secretary General of the United Nations, Ban Ki-moon, the President of the SIOI, Franco Frattini, and the cultural attaché at the US Embassy in Italy, Stephen Labensky.
