Reminder of press accreditation notice - Presentation of the new edition of the CinemArena Project (Farnesina, 9 October 2018)

On Tuesday, 9 October, at 11:00 a.m., the Farnesina, will host the presentation of the new edition of CinemArena, an itinerant cinema project jointly launched in 2002 by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI), the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The aim of this new edition of CinemaArena is to promote the dissemination of correct information on the risk of illegal migration, with a special focus on the principal Countries of origin of the migrants coming to Europe.  

The speakers at the meeting will be the MAECI’s Director General for Italians Abroad and Migration Policies, Luigi Maria Vignali, the Deputy Director General for Development Cooperation, Paolo Cuculi, the Deputy Chief of the Civil Liberties and Immigration Department of the Ministry of the Interior, Bruno Corda, the Director of the IOM’s Coordinating Office for the Mediterranean, Federico Soda and the Deputy Director of the AICS, Leonardo Carmenati.

The presentations will also project images of the past edition of the initiative and the testimonials of this year’s activities, which kicked off in September in Senegal. 

Journalists, photographers and TV crews interested in following the event are requested to apply for accreditation by sending an email to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation’s Institutional Press and Communication Service at the following address: accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (Tel. + 39 06/3691.3432 or 8573 or 8210), attaching thereto the letter of his/her media organisation (or press card for freelance reporters) and, for members of the foreign press, a Note Verbale released by the Rome Embassy of the media organisation’s Country.

Accredited journalists, photographers and TV crews may collect their accreditation badges in person from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, main entrance – left-hand side – from 10:30 a.m.
