Italy acknowledges the agreement announced yesterday by President Sisi. Italy has always been supportive of any initiative which - accepted by all parties involved and within the framework of the Berlin process - could favour a political solution of the Libyan crisis.
To this end, Italy invites all parties involved to undertake a good faith commitment to restart 5+5 negotiations with a constructive attitude, in order to define a durable cease-fire under UN guidance.
