The Ambassador of Italy to Iraq, Maurizio Greganti, was received by the President of the Republic of Iraq, Abdul Latif Rashid, for cordial talks following his first State Visit to Italy last June.
On the occasion, President Rashid renewed his gratitude to the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, for the warm welcome he had received and emphasised that the visit had been fruitful and would contribute to consolidating working prospects at various levels.
Ambassador Greganti reaffirmed Italy’s intention to deepen its great friendship with Iraq, as well as Italy’s commitment to the security and stability of the country and the wellbeing of its people, and its willingness to continue working to develop dialogue in the political, economic and cultural fields.
