On the sidelines of the High-Level Week of the 79th United Nations General Assembly, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, met with the Foreign Ministers of Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan, and Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
“We are closely following developments in the South Caucasus, a strategic region for our country and for the whole of Europe. Italy is at the forefront of facilitating the achievement of a comprehensive peace agreement between Yerevan and Baku,” said Minister Antonio Tajani.
The Deputy Prime Minister also highlighted “the important role the European Union can play in mediating the negotiating process and in securing a stable and sustainable solution.”
