The exhibition “Enzo Cacciola / Vincenzo Mascia” is part of the project “Contemporary Art Developments for the Embassy of Italy and the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing” to promote contemporary Italian art in China through a program of artist residencies that invites artists to Beijing to create specific works in contact with the Chinese cultural fabric, which are then exhibited for a period of time at the Embassy of Italy in Beijing and in exhibitions organized and promoted by the Italy China Council Foundation Academy at Raffles City Beijing.
This initial stage of the project presents for the first time to the Chinese public the works created specifically in Beijing by Enzo Cacciola, the last Master of the historic Analytical Art movement, and Vincenzo Mascia, a representative of the international Madì movement, who works on the results of programmed art, with implications for sculptural design.
The residency program and exhibition are organized and promoted by the Embassy of Italy in Beijing, the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing, and the Italy China Council Foundation Academy at Raffles City Beijing, based on a project conceived and directed by the Nuova Artemarea association in collaboration with MuPa – Museo del Parco di Portofino
