Online public consultation closes on 9 December

The online public consultation on the “Destinazione Italia Plan”, the government’s programme of 50 measures to attract inward investment, will close on 9 December 2013. The government adopted the Plan on 19 September, at the proposal of Prime Minister Letta and Ministers Emma Bonino and Flavio Zanonato.

Help identify the priorities

The document was drawn up over two months by an interministerial task force. It contains a comprehensive strategy composed of 50 measures designed to give investors greater certainty in the fields of tax, justice and the time required for permits to be issued. Other aims are to enhance and showcase assets “made in Italy” and to promote our country abroad.

“We are asking investors, businesses, trade unions, associations and citizens to take part”, said Minister Bonino, “and thus help us identify the priority areas for action. The quality of our laws and regulations will can only be improved by this process, and we shall be encouraging a debate in Italy on the importance of foreign investment”.
