The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is holding a competition to create a new official logo for the network of Italian Cultural Institutes (Italian initials IIC) worldwide. The logo will be identical for all of the Institutes.
Role and significance of the Italian Cultural Institutes
The new logo should reflect and highlight the role and significance of the Institutes, as well as clarifying their function and enhancing their public and institutional dimension. It is also important to highlight that the IICs are part of the Foreign Ministry’s network abroad. The logo should be both institutional and modern in style and transmit values such as: culture, identity, innovation and the “Made in Italy” brand.
Designers should also consider the logo in relation to the Ministry’s logo, which is always shown on the IIC websites, and any other logos that may on occasion be displayed. The new logo should be able to sit alongside these other logos in a visually harmonious manner.
