The sixteenth edition of the Study in Italy Fair took place on 8–9 November 2025. The event was organised by the Italian Cultural Institute of Tokyo in collaboration with the Embassy of Italy in Japan and the Italo-Japanese Association. Once again, the initiative attracted high levels of participation and engagement from the Japanese public interested in pursuing educational opportunities in Italy.

The Fair featured 34 exhibition stands, including Japanese organisations supporting study abroad, Italian universities, language schools, and specialised institutes in design, fashion, culinary arts and other artistic disciplines.

Visitors were able to engage directly with representatives of Italian institutions, who provided detailed information on educational programmes, admission procedures, study opportunities in Italian and English, and services dedicated to international students. Meanwhile, Japanese organisations offered practical guidance on scholarships, administrative procedures, timelines, and resources useful for planning a study period in Italy. In addition, the Embassy of Italy organised a seminar on study visas, providing participants with practical guidance and clarifications on the application process.

Particular focus was also placed on cultural exchange meetings between Japanese students interested in studying in Italy and Italian students currently in Japan for study periods. These informal sessions enabled participants to share their academic and daily life experiences, offering a useful forum for questions on study organisation, integration into Italian cities, cultural differences, and international mobility opportunities.

The initiative forms part of the Italian Cultural Institute’s efforts to promote the Italian language and highlight the Italian university and education system within the Japanese community, facilitating direct dialogue between students and institutions in both countries.
