The exhibition on “Michelangelo: The Making of a Genius and the 500th Anniversary of the Sistine Chapel” has opened in Fukui, as part of the Year of Italy in Japan. The event, organised in collaboration with the Casa Buonarroti Foundation, has been a huge success with the media and public, with visitors arriving from all over western Japan. As our Consul General in Osaka, Marco Lombardi, commented, “the exhibition is having an extremely positive knock-on effect in promoting our country in western Japan”. Read more, in Italian.
