A new international success for Italy, with SORIN, a world leader in electro-medical technology, winning the “Investisseur International 2013” award in France for its investments in the Paris region. The award was presented by the Minister for Economic Development, Arnaud Montebourg.
In his address at the award ceremony the Italian Ambassador, Giandomenico Magliano, underscored the role played by Italian investors in France from an economic diplomacy perspective. He pointed out that Italy was France’s third inward investor in 2012, a result that shows just how lively and active our economy is, notwithstanding the crisis. Minister Montebourg placed the focus on the Italian economic model, and our small and medium-sized businesses’ ability to form local networks, leading to striking export successes.
