ITALIA-BRASILE – Seminar on infrastructure development a great success

The seminar on “Italian-Brazilian cooperation for infrastructure development” organised by the Italian Embassy in Brasilia attracted “great interest”. About 250 representatives of the institutions and the business and financial communities of the two countries took part. Italy was represented by the Environment Minister, Corrado Clini; the President of the Italian Trade Institute, Riccardo Monti; and the Ministry for Economic Development’s Director General for Internationalisation and Business Promotion, Pietro Celi. The Brazilian side included the Minister for Ports, Leonidas Cristino; the Deputy Transport Minister, Marcelo Perrupato; the President of the state planning and logistics company (EPL), Bernardo Figuereido; and the Superintendent for infrastructure at the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES), Nelson Siffert.


Exchanging know-how and introducing Italian and Brazilian financial products


Italian Ambassador to Brazil, Raffaele Trombetta, said that the event was an opportunity for Italian companies to showcase their know-how and make contact with local companies. The Italian groups also appreciated the information provided on Italian and Brazilian financial products during the seminar.
