PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
CEI 30th Anniversary and IMEC Forum
(Generali Convention Center – Trieste, March 17, 2026)
On the morning of Tuesday, March 17, the Conference for the 30th Anniversary of the Central European Initiative (CEI) will be held at the Generali Convention Center in Trieste. In the afternoon of the same day, the Generali Convention Center will host a Forum of the India-Middle East-Europe Corridor (IMEC). Both events are expected to be attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani.
The CEI 30th Anniversary is organized by the CEI Executive Secretariat, in collaboration with the Institute of International Affairs (IAI). The celebrations envisage a plenary session from 10:30 to 11:15 AM, with speeches by Minister Antonio Tajani, CEI Secretary General Franco Dal Mas, the President of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia Region, Massimiliano Fedriga, and the IAI President, Amb. Michele Valensise. The works will continue with two thematic panels, one on strategic cooperation in Europe and the other on connectivity in the CEI’s region. The meeting will end at around 1:30 PM, following the closing session. Romanian Foreign Minister Oana Țoiu, in her capacity as CEI President-in-Office, is expected to participate, as well as State and regional authorities and representatives from civil society (universities and research centres, companies and trade associations, etc.).
In the afternoon, starting at 3:00 PM, the IMEC Forum, entitled “Developing an Indo-Mediterranean Perspective through the IMEC Network,” will take place. Minister Antonio Tajani will open the Forum, followed by an institutional segment. The IMEC Forum is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen interested in covering the phases open to the press sessions of both aforementioned events can apply for accreditation by sending a request by 12:00 noon on Monday, March 16, registering through the press accreditation portal and attaching the required documentation. Those who have already registered on the online portal and have already received confirmation from the system that their registration has been accepted can access their profile and select to participate in the event.

Accredited journalists, photographers, and cameramen can pick up their badges in person at the Press Accreditation Desk, located in Magazzino 27 of the Generali Convention Center (Viale Miramare 24/2), from 9:30 to 10:00 AM, and from 2:00 to 2:30 PM. Please note that this will be the only access granted to the press. Each badge will be valid for both events

Please note that no new accreditation requests will be accepted on March 17, except for unforeseen substitutions.
