The new promotional campaign “A Touch of Italy” has officially been launched in Zurich. The initiative, developed through a collaboration between Italian Trade Agency and Globus, a leading Swiss department store chain, marks the start of a promotional programme that will showcase Italian excellences across all Globus outlets.
To celebrate the launch, the Italian Trade Agency (ITA) in Bern organised an event at Globus’ historic Zurich store, attended by the Italian Consul General in Zurich, Mario Baldi, the President of the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Switzerland, Vincenzo Di Pierri, the Director of ITA Bern, Samuele Porsia, and the Managing Director of Globus AG, Lucia Guagliardi.
“This campaign represents a significant opportunity to further strengthen the economic and cultural ties between Italy and Switzerland, two countries united by longstanding relations and a rich tradition of exchanges,” stated Consul General Baldi. He added: “I hope this initiative will not only promote Italian products, but also highlight the qualities that make them unique: meticulous attention to detail, strong ties to the territory, and the Italian ability to transform quality into an extraordinary tasting experience”.
The strategic importance of the initiative is confirmed by extremely positive market data. According to Swiss Customs, in 2025 Italy remained the second-largest supplier to Switzerland, with imports valued at EUR 2.46 billion (+4.1% compared to 2024) and a market share of 15.2%.
