PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
Plenary Assembly of the General Council of Italians Abroad (CGIE)
Farnesina, 13–14 May 2026
On Wednesday 13 May at 11:00 a.m., the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, will deliver opening remarks at the Plenary Assembly of the General Council of Italians Abroad (CGIE), to be held at the International Conference Hall of the Farnesina.
The Minister’s address will be open to the press.
The Plenary Assembly of the CGIE will take place from 11 to 15 May. Meetings on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 May will be open to the press.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen wishing to attend in person are requested to submit an accreditation request by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday 12 May to accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. +39 06 3691 3432 / 3078 / 8210 or 8573), as follows:
For representatives of the Italian press organisations:
- a copy of the identity document;
- a letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter – , a copy of professional identity card.
For representatives of foreign press organisations not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
- a copy of the identity document;
- letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
- Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.
For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request must be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.

To attend the Assembly proceedings:
