Launch event of the 3rd edition of the project
“Sport and Innovation – Made in Italy”
Farnesina, 18 May 2026
On Monday 18 May 2026, from 10:30 a.m., the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will host the launch event of the 3rd edition of the project “Sport and Innovation – Made in Italy”.
The event will be opened by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani. This will be followed by remarks from the President of the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), Matteo Zoppas, the President of “Sport e Salute”, Marco Mezzaroma, as well as Paolo Barelli, President of the Italian Swimming Federation, Angelo Binaghi, President of the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation and Stefano Mei, President of the Italian Athletics Federation, accompanied by athletes representing each Federation.
Minister Tajani will conclude the event with the appointment of the Ambassadors of Sports Diplomacy.
The ceremony will be streamed live on the Farnesina YouTube channel.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen wishing to attend the ceremony are invited to request accreditation by 5:00 p.m. on 15 May, by registering via the following link https://portaleaccreditamento.esteri.it and uploading the required documentation.
Those who are already registered on the online portal and have received confirmation of their registration may access their profile and select participation in the event.
