The Italian musical group Mezzotono performed at the National Theatre of the Shilpakala Academy in Dhaka to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic.
The event was organized by the Italian Embassy in Dhaka together with the Ministry of Culture of Bangladesh and will be attended by a large audience of local dignitaries, diplomats, businessmen, students, music enthusiasts, and fellow Italians.
Mezzotono are among the most renowned interpreters of the Italian tradition of acappella singing, which originated in churches and has evolved into art and entertainment through constant technical development.
For Italian Ambassador Alessandro, “this initiative strengthens cultural relations between Italy and Bangladesh, countries with a rich singing and musical tradition, on a special occasion such as the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic.”
