FULBRIGHT ANNUAL MEETING
(Farnesina, 30 June 2026)
On Tuesday 30 June 2026, from 10:15 a.m., the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, and the Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the United States in Rome, Marta Youth, will open the institutional session of the Annual meeting with Fulbright Programme scholarships, that will be held at the Farnesina.
The annual Fulbright meeting was established with the aim of bringing together US scholarship holders currently in Italy and Italian scholarship holders preparing to travel to the United States, in order to strengthen ties with the Commission and create a community that can contribute to its growth.
The 2026 edition takes on particular significance, as it coincides with three important anniversaries: the 80th anniversary of the Fulbright Programme, the 250th anniversary of the United States of America and the 80th anniversary of the Italian Republic.
During the event, speakers will include Paola Sartorio, Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission; Giuliano Amato, President Emeritus of the Constitutional Court and a Fulbright Alumnus; and Amedeo Arena and Maura Striano, professors at the University of Naples Federico II and Fulbright Alumni. The event is also expected to be attended by 60 Italian and US scholarship holders, members of the Executive Board, and numerous leading figures from the academic world, academic institutions and private entities with which the Commission collaborates.
The proceedings will be preceded by a group photo at 10:00 a.m.
