Conference of the Directors of Italian Cultural Institutes
(Teatro Filarmonico di Verona, July 23, 2026)
The Conference of the Directors of Italian Cultural Institutes will be held from July 20 to 23 in Verona, at the Palazzo della Gran Guardia and the Teatro Filarmonico.
The Conference is held every year and is a significant opportunity for dialogue on the strategies and goals of Italian cultural diplomacy. It will be a crucial moment of reflection and discussion for the network of Institutes, currently present in 63 countries and engaged in the organization of over 6,000 promotional events every year (including art, music, cinema, theatre, and dance), ranging from the international exhibition circuit, to support for the participation of Italian artists in international fairs and events, and the promotion of artistic residencies organized in collaboration with national institutions.
On Thursday, July 23, at 12:00 noon, the institutional session of the Conference of Directors of Italian Cultural Institutes (IIC), open to the press, will take place at the Teatro Filarmonico di Verona.
Speakers will include the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, and the Minister of Tourism, Gianmarco Mazzi.
Later, Minister Tajani will hold a dialogue with Maria Luisa Pappalardo, the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague, and Gianni Vinciguerra, the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in Mexico City.
A dance performance, namely “Manifestus,” by Jacopo Jenna will also be organized.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen wishing to cover the event are requested to register by 13:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, via email at accreditamentostampa@esteri.it (tel. 06/3691 3432-3078, 8210, 8573 or 3450), as follows:
for representatives of the Italian press organisations:
- a copy of the identity document;
- a letter of assignment from the newspaper of affiliation or – in the absence of the latter -, a copy of professional identity card.
For representatives of foreign press organizations not accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
- a copy of the identity document;
- letter from the newspaper of affiliation;
- Verbal note of the Embassy in Rome of the country of the press organisation represented.
For representatives of foreign press already accredited at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the request shall be sent with a copy of an identity document attached.
Badges shall be picked up in person at the Teatro Filarmonico di Verona (Via Roma, 3, 37122 Verona VR) – side entrance (guests and press) on July 23, from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m.
