Launch event of the Italian Presidency of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR)
“Identity, cohesion, European integration”
(Unioncamere, Rome – 28 July 2026)
On Tuesday, 28 July 2026, at 10.00 a.m., the launch event of the Italian Presidency of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR) will take place under the title “Identity, cohesion, European integration” at the Unioncamere headquarters, Piazza Sallustio 21, Rome.
The event will be entirely open to the press.
The programme will open with institutional remarks by the Secretary-General of Unioncamere, Giuseppe Tripoli, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, the Minister for European Affairs, the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP) and Cohesion Policies, Tommaso Foti and the European Commissioner for Regional and Cohesion Policy, Regional Development, Cities and Reforms, Raffaele Fitto.
Proceedings will continue with three panel discussions:
- 10.30 a.m.: “Italy’s strength: the role of cohesion and multi-level governance”;
- 11.00 a.m.: “The Italian Presidency of the EUSAIR Strategy: priorities, tools and European perspectives”;
- 11.30 a.m.: “EUSAIR: implementing the strategy between continuity and the Italian Presidency”.
The event is expected to conclude at approximately 12.00 noon.
The event, which will be held in Italian and English, will be moderated by RAI journalist Annamaria Esposito.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen wishing to attend the event may apply for accreditation by 4.00 p.m. on Monday, 27 July, by registering through the accreditation portal at https://portaleaccreditamento.esteri.it and attaching the required documentation.

Badges must be collected in person at the Horti Sallustiani (Piazza Sallustio 21, Rome) on Tuesday, 28 July, between 9.30 a.m. and 9.50 a.m.
