PRESS ACCREDITATION NOTE
Press conference by Minister Tajani and the President of One Water Italy Committee, Maria Spena, on the Euro-Mediterranean Water Forum.
On Friday 18 September at 4.00 p.m., Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani and Maria Spena will hold a press conference at the Farnesina to present the First Euro-Mediterranean Water Forum. The Forum is organised by the Italian One Water Committee with funding from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in collaboration with the Union for the Mediterranean and the Mediterranean Water Institute in Marseille, and in partnership with CIHEAM Bari and the Arab Water Council. The event – which will take place from 29 September to 2 October 2026 at the La Nuvola Conference Centre in Rome – will host more than 100 conferences and meetings and will be attended by over 5,000 registered participants, with around 50 foreign delegations expected to attend.
The Forum is being held in close collaboration with the second ministerial meeting of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) on Water, which will take place at the Farnesina on 28 September 2026. The event is being co-chaired by Jordan and the European Commission, with Italy as the host country, and brings together the relevant ministers from the 43 Member States of the Union for the Mediterranean.
Journalists, photographers and cameramen wishing to attend the press conference are kindly requested to register no later than 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, 17 September, by completing the registration form at https://portaleaccreditamento.esteri.it and uploading the required documentation.
Those already registered on the online portal and who have received confirmation from the system may access their profile and select participation in the event.
