The book ‘Umanesimo Tecnologico. Le eccellenze italiane nell’Intelligenza Artificiale’ (Technological Humanism. Italian Excellence in Artificial Intelligence), produced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and scientifically edited by AIRI – the Italian Association for Industrial Research, was presented on 30 September as part of the 78th edition of Prix Italia in L’Aquila.
The volume gathered 84 excellent Italian experiences in the application of artificial intelligence to research and industry, involving companies, start-ups, universities and research centres in 11 strategic sectors, from automotive to energy, from logistics to aerospace, from agri-food to health.
The work has enhanced an innovation model in which AI has integrated with expertise, research and production capacity, contributing to making processes, infrastructures and services more efficient, sustainable and secure. In this perspective, the book promoted a vision of ‘Technological Humanism’, based on the complementarity between artificial intelligence and human skills.
The book was conceived as a means of ‘growth diplomacy’ and intended for international dissemination through the network of Embassies, Consulates and Italian Cultural Institutes, helping to promote Italian excellence in innovation and AI abroad.
