Yesterday, 4 November, the Embassy of Italy in Qatar celebrated Italian Republic Day and National Unity and Armed Forces Day with an event that brought together numerous representatives from the institutional, business, scientific, cultural and sporting sectors, as well as from the Italian community.
Among the officials present were Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari, Minister of State and President of the Qatar National Library; Mohammed bin Ali bin Mohammed Al Mannai, Minister for Communications and Information Technology; Ambassador Ibrahim Yousif Abdullah Fakhroo, Director of the Protocol Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Major General Abdulaziz Falah Al Dosari, Adviser to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs for Telecommunications and Space Affairs.
In his speech, the Ambassador of Italy, Paolo Toschi, recalled the friendship between the two countries and their shared commitment to dialogue, peace and security, emphasising Italy’s solidarity with Qatar in the current regional context and its support for the search for diplomatic solutions to crises, as repeatedly highlighted by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani.
