Re-open EU’ is launched, a platform for the free movement of goods

To re-open the circulation safely in Europe and encourage the resumption of tourism: this is the objective of “Re-open EU“, a web platform, wanted by the European Commission, with all the useful information to travel and plan the next summer holidays.

The platform will provide real-time information on borders, available means of transport, travel restrictions, public health, and security measures, such as physical distancing or the use of masks, as well as other practical information for travellers.

“Re-open EU” is one of the measures announced by the Commission in its Tourism and transport Package of 13 May to contribute to the safe recovery of travel and tourism in the EU while respecting the necessary health precautions. The platform will serve as a reference point for anyone travelling in Europe, as it concentrates the updated information provided by the Commission and the Member States in one place.

The information for each country is readily available through an interactive map showing updates on the measures taken by each country and offering practical advice to visitors to the country concerned.

The platform is easily accessible on desktops and mobile devices by clicking on the “Re-open EU” link: and contains information in 24 official EU languages.
