The Farnesina’s Directorate general for Development Cooperation, in collaboration with the Institute for International Policy Studies (ISPI), FAR, the World Food Programme (WFP) the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the UN Organization for Industrial Development (UNIDO) Thursday 14 and Friday 15 May 2015 has organized an event dedicated to the new post-2015 Development agenda and its relationship to sustainable farming, nutrition and food security. The event will take place in Milan at Palazzo Castiglioni (Corso Venezia 47).
On 14 May, a conference will begin at 10:30 entitled “The new Development Agenda: Sustainability, Nutrition and Food Security”. Attendees at the conference, to be opened by La Stampa Director Mario Calabresi, will include Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Lapo Pistelli and Nobel Prize for Economics winner Prof. Amartya Sen.
A conference on 15 May, beginning at 10:30, is entitled “Sustainable Agriculture, Nutrition and Food Security: the challenges of the new Development Agenda and Prosperity Indicators”. Attendees will include the Farnesina’s Director General for Development Cooperation Giampaolo Cantini, Director of WFP Gordana Jerger and Director of the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS), Prof. Daniel Gros.
