A reminder that the 4th Euro-African Ministerial Conference on Migration and Development will be held on 27 November in Rome at the NH Midas Hotel. The Conference will be chaired by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Paolo Gentiloni, and the Minister for the Interior, Angelino Alfano. Senegal, which hosted the last Ministerial, in Dakar in 2011, will be the honorary co-chair.
Conference attendees will include the representatives of 58 European and Western, Central and Mediterranean African nations, the European Commission and ECOWAS. Discussions will concern migration collaboration along the two priority axes of intersection between migration and development, and cooperation in combating the organised crime activities associated with illegal immigration (primarily in people trafficking and migrant smuggling). The topics of topics of legal migration and international protection will also be examined. The event is one of the highpoints of the Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which has made dialogue with third countries of origin and transit, and the integration of EU migration policies and external actions, a central point of its programme on migration matters.

Journalists, TV Crews and photographers interested in covering the event will have to obtain specific accreditation, as explained below.
Online accreditation system.
First register at the following link: http://www.italia2014registration.eu, where you will fill out a form and upload a photo(Jpeg only) and a scanned copy (Jpg or Pdf only) of the following documents:
– passport or other valid photo ID;
– a letter from your media organisation
– professional ID card (in place of letter from media organisation. The ID card is obligatory for free-lance operators).
Journalists already registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs online accreditation system will receive, at their first access, a system message allowing them to recover their registration data and documents.
PRESS CENTRE
A Press Centre will be set up at the NH Midas Hotel di Roma, using the entrance at Via Aurelia no. 800. It will be open on Thursday 27 November from 07:30 to 20:00.
Accreditation badges will be available for collection at the Press Accreditation Office (address as above) according to the following schedule:
Wednesday 26 November: from 16:00 to 19:00
Thursday 27 November: from 7:30 to 17:15.
Accredited TV Crews and photographers are asked to report on Thursday 27 November at the Pool Meeting Point inside the Press Centre, according to the following timetable:
From 8:00 to 8:30 for Tour de table coverage
From 16:00 to 16:30 for Family Photo
