Angelino Alfano, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, wrote a message of congratulations to Nicola Renzi, the new Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Political Affairs and Justice of the Republic of San Marino.“I wish to express my sincere congratulations for your new ministerial mandate to lead the diplomacy of San Marino,” wrote Minister Alfano in a letter to Nicola Renzi.
Mr. Alfano underlined that “Italy and San Marino are linked by time-old relations based on a common language, culture and fruitful and extensive exchanges.”
“The collaboration between our two countries has strengthened in time thanks to a common determination to face the challenges of transparency and development with an inclusive and sustainable outlook. I am certain that the brotherly links that tie our countries together will lead to further development opportunities for a continuous understanding at a bilateral and multilateral level. This is also in view of a more structured association of the Republic of San Marino to the European Union, an issue which would receive our firm support.”
