Canada. New contract for the Bonatti Company relating to the construction of a segment of the coastal gaslink pipeline.
Bonatti Group, from Emilia-Romagna, through its Canadian subsidiary PACP (Pacific Atlantic Pipeline Construction), has recently won a significant contract worth about 100 million Canadian dollars (about 65 million euros) for the construction of segment 5 of the Coastal GasLink pipeline in the west of the country. The GasLink artery is one of the main projects launched by the Federal Government as part of its strategy to strengthen its hydrocarbon distribution network throughout the country, with the aim, once completed, of creating an outlet to the Pacific for natural gas extracted in the fields of northeast British Columbia and Alberta. For Bonatti Group this is an extension of the shipyards already operating in segments 6 and 7 contracted out in 2018. The award just concluded will bring the value of the group’s investments in Canada to a total of around CAD 800 million.
