The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Enzo Moavero Milanesi, is on a visit to Madrid.

On Sunday, 4 November, Minister Moavero Milanesi met with the Spanish Minister of Agriculture, Luis Planas, to discuss the European Union’s Multiannual Financial Framework. Today, with the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Cooperation, Josep Borrell, he is attending the 16th edition of the “Spain-Italy Dialogue Forum”, a long-standing opportunity of debate between the Governments and representatives of the world of politics, business, academia and communications of the two Countries. The Forum meets every year in Spain and in Italy alternatively and, on this occasion, the two Ministers will animate the debate dedicated to innovation entitled: “Challenges and Synergies of Innovation. Italy and Spain”.

Still with Minister Borrell, Minister Moavero Milanesi is due to speak at the conference hosted at the Fundaciòn Botin and organised by the Real Instituto Elcano and the Spanish Foreign Ministry on the theme: “Situation and prospects of the European Union”. Lastly, the two ministers will have an extensive bilateral meeting at the Palacio de Santa Cruz, the seat of the Spanish Foreign Ministry. The points on the agenda of the meeting will be Italy-Spain relations, principal European issues of common interest and the Mediterranean.
