Ukraine: Gentiloni says no alternative to negotiations

There is “no alternative to negotiations” for settling the Ukraine crisis. This was the Italian position that Minister Paolo Gentiloni reiterated during a Foreign Affairs Council meeting in Brussels.

”Unitary position”
Expressing his hopes for Europe’s “unitary position”, particularly on urging Moscow to foster a positive outcome to the talks, Gentiloni confirmed that Italy “does not today nor will it in the future agree with those leaning toward the military option”.
