Budapest – Dante and his “Vita Nuova” celebrated on the banks of the Danube

To mark the 750th anniversary of the birth of Dante Alighieri, the network of Italian Cultural Institutes is organising a series of events to celebrate the father of the Italian language. Our Cultural Institute in Budapest has organised a performance of “Vita Nuova/Dante Alighieri” with Paolo Antonio Simioni (who is also the director) and Giuseppe Paolo Cecere. The performance will take place on Monday 26 January at 6pm.

The Italian Cultural Institute, at Bródy Sándor utca 8 in Budapest’s 8th district, is located in a building that from 1865 to 1902 housed the Hungarian Parliament. Read more, in Italian.
