The “Tullio Tedeschi” UNPAV (Unità Navale Polivalente ad Alta Velocità – High Speed Multipurpose Ship) joined the Mobile Training Team for the final week of training and, thanks to its strong support capabilities for the Special Forces, multiplied the payback gained from the training, to the benefit of all participants. The “Tullio Tedeschi” was hosted by the AMF at Hay Wharf, the Malta headquarters of the Maritime Squadron, in the splendid surroundings of Marsamxett Harbour.
Fabrizio Romano, the Ambassador of Italy to Malta, went aboard the ship so that he could be present for the final stage of the training which, thanks to the combined efforts of the AMF and Italian air and naval assets, enabled the individual capabilities of the units undergoing training to be combined effectively.
Ambassador Romano took the opportunity to emphasise that the coordination by the Italian Mission for Collaboration in the Field of Defence, which is resident on the archipelago, was very valuable for the full success of the cooperation and further enriched the content of the bilateral relations between the armed forces of our two countries.
