Today, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi di Maio, participated in the G7 Foreign Ministers’ meeting urgently convened to discuss the latest developments in the situation in Ukraine and to coordinate unitary response measures to the statements made by the President of the Russian Federation, which constitute an extremely serious impediment to a diplomatic solution to the crisis.
“Italy resolutely supports Ukraine’s integrity and sovereignty within its internationally recognized borders – Minister Di Maio declared – and firmly condemns the Russian Federation’s decision to recognize the so-called separatist republics of Luhansk e Donetsk.”
