Through its Crisis Unit, and in constant contact with the State institutions concerned, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is maintaining its commitment to achieve a positive outcome to the situation concerning press correspondent Domenico Quirico, now at an especially delicate and complex stage.
In the interests of the journalist’s safety, and in full agreement with the daily newspaper “La Stampa” for which he works, the Foreign Ministry has called for strict reserve on the part of the media, which will be essential to achieving the desired outcome. At the same time, a strong appeal has been made to all information organs to adopt this line of conduct, in the hopes that the media might also contribute to the positive conclusion of the affair.
