On 3rd April, the Director General of Development Cooperation, Ambassador Giorgio Marrapodi, and the extraordinary Commissioner of the Council for Agricultural Research (CREA), Gian Luca Calvi, signed (digitally) a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening the cooperation between the DGDC and the National Public Research and Experimentation Agency, also in view of the definition of sustainable development objectives, in the framework of the Agenda 2030.
CREA will make its technical and scientific know-how available to support DGDC participation in international or inter-institutional tables where development programmes in the agricultural, agro-industrial and agri-food, fisheries, forestry, nutrition, rural development and agricultural economy sectors are defined to be implemented in partner countries.
The signed agreement represents a further step towards the strengthening of partnerships with research institutions and agencies in the field of international cooperation and sustainable development, in line with the provisions of the Cooperation Reform Law 125/2014.
