Minister Gentiloni met today with the trade unions representing all categories of workers of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Italy is increasingly becoming a key player in the international arena on many matters involving counter-terrorism, economic diplomacy, the United Nations and the European Union. Minister Gentiloni said that on all of these challenges he was confident that he could count on the high professionalism of the staff of the Foreign Ministry.
The Minister also set some objectives to be pursued as part of a process aimed at modernizing available resources through innovative work processes, digitization and the valorisation of real estate assets. Particular attention was paid to accountability, the Italian foreign service staff abroad and meritocracy.
