“Italians and Romanians are united by a historical friendship nurtured by numerous similarities such as the strong resemblance between our languages that have always helped forge strong political, cultural and economic relations”. Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, expressed these thoughts in his diplomatic mission today to Bucharest, where he was welcomed by President Klaus Iohannis. He also met his colleague, Foreign Minister Teodor Melescanu.
“The dynamic cooperation between our two countries is not only based on productive trade relations and the integration of our economic systems, but on the fraternity between our communities that makes our relationship so unique,” concluded Minister Alfano.
