As part of Italy’s constant and ongoing efforts to foster an easing of the tensions at the Russian-Ukrainian border and a diplomatic solution to the current crisis, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Luigi Di Maio, will be visiting Kiev tomorrow, 15 February 2022.
Minister Di Maio will reiterate Italy’s full support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, in close coordination with its EU and NATO allies. At the same time, Minister Di Maio will confirm Italy’s firm support of all negotiating efforts, including in the framework of the Minsk Agreements and the Normandy Format. The aim is to preserve stability and achieve a peaceful and lasting solution to the current confrontation.
