This afternoon, the Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Maria Tripodi, spoke at the first Doha Design Forum, a thematic exhibition promoted by Qatar Museums, which relies on a structured collaboration with leading Italian companies in the sector.
In her speech, the Undersecretary highlighted the excellent state of cooperation between Italy and Qatar also in the design sector, recalling the Italian ability to combine tradition and innovation. The Undersecretary said: “Design is not only a unique resource for the Italian economy, but also a platform for dialogue and development towards sustainability and technological innovation”.
On the sidelines of the event, the Undersecretary, together with the Italian Ambassador to Doha Paolo Toschi, met Sheikh Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, President of Qatar Museums, with whom the main lines of bilateral cooperation in cultural matters were discussed, including cooperation between museums and foundations, archaeology, contemporary art and the promotion of the Italian language.
