A Monaco il Festival della letteratura italiana

The Italian Cultural Institute of Munich is among the organisers of the fifth edition of ILfest – Italienisches Literaturfestival München, the only festival dedicated to Italian literature in Germany, scheduled in Munich from 5 to 7 May 2023. The festival includes events and discussions with Italian authors, either in Italian or German.

The festival will focus on Italian history of the 20th century, with authors whose stories have captured the evolution of the country and the changes in the lives of Italians. A workshop has also been organised which will offer the opportunity to measure oneself against the challenges of literary translation.

The authors at the heart of the festival include Giacomo Papi, Fernanda Alfieri, Ilaria Rossetti, Antonio Manzini, Maria Grazia Calandrone, Simona Baldelli, Alberto Grandi and Eberhard Spangenberg.

In addition to the Italian Cultural Institute, ILfest – Italienisches Literaturfestival München is organised by Elisabetta Cavani/ItalLIBRI and has the patronage of the Consulate General of Italy in Munich. In addition, it is supported by the Department of Arts and Culture of the City of Munich.
